Q.10 Can NFP be used to select the sex of a child?

Recommendations

Rationale

No, timing intercourse according to fertility indicators does not increase the chances of having a boy or a girl.

A few NFP programs suggest that NFP can be used to increase the probability of conceiving a boy or girl. However, review of several scientific studies shows that the sex of a child cannot be reliably determined by timing intercourse.
