Those of you who are participating in this course live in different areas of the world and work in different parts of the healthcare system. The HIV/AIDS epidemic has different features in different areas around the world.

Questions:

1. What do you see as the primary issues in reproductive and sexual health and family planning for individuals with HIV/AIDS in your area?

2. How do you think issues related to gender, stigma and violence affect the HIV/AIDS epidemic where you live?

3. Are there specific cultural beliefs or practices that you encounter that you believe lead to greater spread of HIV or to more stigma and possibility of violence for those with HIV? Are there cultural beliefs or practices that you encounter that may help prevent the spread of HIV or increase support for those who are HIV-positive?
