On 15 September 2000, JHPIEGO, in collaboration with the Alliance for Cervical Cancer Prevention, sponsored a workshop to explore training issues for cervical cancer prevention in low-resource settings.

In May 1997, JHPIEGO sponsored a workshop to review the international experience with visual screening approaches and with treatment options, focusing on unaided visual inspection and cryotherapy for low-resource settings.
