Currently, approximately 585,000 maternal deaths occur each year. As the number of women of reproductive age increases over the next decade, even more women will die unless maternal health systems and services become more effective and more widespread. This section includes documents and training tools designed to increase providers knowledge about how to reduce maternal deaths.
