mastery learning, competency-based training course and are not intended
for individuals who have not been trained in the procedure.
The checklists are tools designed for use in JHPIEGO training courses.
The checklists focus only on the key steps in the entire procedure. As
part of a training course, they are used to guide practice after a
participant has become familiar with the procedure using a more detailed
learning guide. Finally, they are the assessment tool used by the trainer
to determine whether or not the participant has achieved competency in
performing the procedure.
